| CHURCHLAND CIVIC LEAGUE
The Churchland Civic League is dedicated to helping Portsmouth residents stay in touch with each other and the city. Monthly meetings are a great way to meet people, hear the latest news, and problem solve community issues.
Meetings are held on the last Wednesday of every month at 7pm at the Portsmouth NEAT Office, 3925 Twin Pines Road - near Food Lion. For more information contact Sharon Hoffler at 646-9401.
MERRIFIELDS GARDEN CLUB Next meeting of the Merrifields Garden Club call 484-2560. The Garden Club annually sells the local Entertainment Books for $25. Club members will gladly deliver the book to homes, call 484-2560 for information. The money earned from this fundraiser goes to the garden club projects fund. The Merrifields Garden Club won first prize in the Southeastern District. This award was given to the club for its project in stenciling all the stormwater drains in Merrifields with the slogan "Don't Pollute--Drains to Bay". This was to remind all residents to not be debris or trash down the stormwater drains. |
